ESD Safe Coatings

COR-COAT is a family of eight ESD safe synthetic, rubber, vinyl and urethane coatings that can be applied to corrugated, CFP, chipboard, plastic, metal and foam. COR-COAT is washable and chemical resistant. Because of its excellent flexibility, scuff resistance, cushioning and impact absorption, the uses for COR-COAT are endless.

Applying COR-COAT can be done by spraying, brushing or dipping! It is available in conductive or dissipative versions of water base and solvent formulations.With eight specifically formulated COR-COAT products made in alliance with *Plasti Dip International, we can meet your unique needs and requirements.

Tacki Pak

Tacki Pak Products

Tacki Pak is a new CCI component handling innovation that allows you to safely and cleanly handle components in a non-slip static safe plastic case or tray. In the past products have been on the market that featured a gel surface in a conductive box. The box may be static safe but the gel is likely insulative-not ESD safe. Insulative surfaces attract dust and can create static charges- even inside a conductive box. Tacki Pak solves that and is easily cleanable so that it can be used many times.

CCI has a complete thermoformed plastics and tooling facility to meet your static safe packaging needs. Today electronics require exacting fit, physical protection, static protection and cleanliness when shipped or handled. Often the best option to achieve those goals is a thermoformed ESD safe clamshell or tray and cover set. In many of our designs we employ formed plastic to eliminate charge generation and exactly fit the component and then package the plastic insert into a static shielding Corstat container. It’s all part of designing the most cost effective package to meet your needs.

We make our tooling in house to ensure quality and speed from design to production. Our stock of ESD safe plastics is significant and allows us to service needs large and small without minimums or barriers. You are allowed to benefit from our ESD focus by purchasing designs in materials otherwise not available except in large volumes.

Static Dissipative Plastics

  • Level I - Anti statics, topically treated not typically used or recommended at CCI
  • Level II - certified high quality clear dissipative plastics- 1” draw depth
  • Level III - water washable long lasting dissipative materials- 2” draw depth
  • Level IV - water washable long lasting dissipative materials- 3” plus draw depth
  • Level V - IPA washable inherently dissipative plastic

Conductive Plastics

  • Carbon loaded materials in styrene, ABS, polyethylene and polypropylene

Important Fact:

CCI trained operators meter materials for ESD properties pre and post forming to assure quality results. Even a high quality ESD safe plastic can be ruined through poor manufacturing processes. Use an ESD expert to form ESD safe plastics.
